Abstract

Water is an important part of our life. Demand for water is increasing owing to increase in population, urbanization and industrialization. Most of the developing countries
consumes Tonnes of water per day and about 75% of waste is discarded as contaminated outflow. This produces a hazard to the ecosystem. By means of proper treatment and management, resources could be recovered from waste effluent and converted. Also recycling provides offers financial advantage. Various technologies are available for recovery of resources. This review explains the various resources recovered from municipal wastewater.
